The Rio Grande Valley of Texas is the busiest corridor for drug and human smuggling in the United States. A surge in resources from Homeland Security has more agents and assets concentrated in this region than ever before. Americans are spending more money than ever have before in an attempt to secure a border which, historically, has never be secure. These photos were taken aboard Homeland Security helicopters, who work in tandem with Border Patrol Agents on the ground to deter, track and apprehend migrants and drug smugglers entering the United States.
